Your Day-to-Day:
  • Responsible for the leadership, direction and integration of the new plant project risk program across each global new plant project including risk evaluation, analysis and mitigation.
  • Team with project directors and commercial resources to identify, evaluate, analyze, quantify and help mitigate various project specific risks that equate to adverse exposures to Westinghouse.
  • Develop and monitor new plant risk policies, procedures and systems in compliance with corporate and financial guidelines.
  • Identify critical risk program success factors and performance indicators in alignment with the risk management strategy.
  • Develop and lead a comprehensive new plant risk program for deployment across each new plant project to ensure consistent risk management and financial evaluation.
  • Assist project directors to develop mitigation plans for each identified risk and development of detailed execution plans for successful risk mitigation.
  • Oversee mitigation plan execution and recommended action plans for project directors
  • Perform assessments of external risk factors (regional, regulatory, environmental, political, and social) to fully consider all impacts to each project and address their relationships/potential impacts to Westinghouse’s project execution.
  • Work with project management to identify appropriate courses of action that will mitigate impacts to Westinghouse.
  • Collaborate with technical and project management teams to engage best practices for risk analysis and mitigation throughout the execution of a project.
  • Remain current with industry trends and current socioeconomic events to bring state-of-the-art techniques to the new plant risk assessment process.
  • Engage expert colleagues to employ current information.
  • Model project risk programs and align with corporate financial targets and risk profiles.
  • Examine financial scenarios and associated commercial and risk impacts from each functional organization and key business partner.
  • Evaluate each risk exposure and help incorporate the appropriate monetary consideration into pricing models.
  • Prepare corporate reports and summary packages as requested including gathering information from all functional groups and screening the information for appropriate reporting at the WEC Staff level

Minimum Requirements:

Who You Are:
As a successful candidate, you will bring the following to the team:
  • BS degree in business administration, engineering, finance or related discipline
  • Master’s degree in risk management / risk modeling is desired but not required
  • 8 to 10 years of experience in risk management of large engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) projects
  • Nuclear EPC project experience is desired but not required
  • Ability to travel extensively (+/- 25%) will be required (domestic and international)
