Your Day-to-Day:
The Digital Solutions Field Engineer will contribute to projects within the Outage and Maintenance Services (O&MS) Digital Solutions group to ensure the seamless integration of new products and services into existing O&MS business units. This includes the development of work processes to plan and execute jobs as well as project planning, technical support and training of O&MS resources who will be leveraging the developed solutions.

This Engineer will also serve in a support role for the home office planning and field implementation of Digital Solution Service projects for both internal and external customers. Home office planning work will include identifying the optimum products to execute the work, identifying necessary equipment and contingencies, determining optimum crew size and developing the project schedule. In the field, this position may be a technical lead or a working supervisor responsible for performing troubleshooting as well as providing direction to the rest of the crew and reporting status to the Project Manager.

Responsibilities:

• Perform engineering design and analysis, identify problems and propose operational solutions to projects and tasks that are partially defined and moderately complex in nature, requiring knowledge and experience within given discipline
• Managing and/or participating in Digital Solution services software/product testing and development projects from start to finish, ensuring quality, costs, and schedules are maintained and communicating with management, vendors and the customer. Identifying and communicating areas for product/service improvements to management personnel
• Utilize software and engineering knowledge to design, install, startup, test, and/or maintain software and systems used in steam generator services non-destructive examinations.
• Prepare and review technical documents including writing procedures, specifications, purchase requisitions, proposal inputs, cost estimates and various other documents
• Verify work of other engineers on assignments that range from basic to moderately complex in nature and participate on project teams with internal and/or external representation. May lead teams on well-defined projects.
• Participate in internal and external customer and vendor meetings to present technical materials and justification of services and product designs
• Identify and assist in development of new business opportunities
• Support, or potentially supervise, field deployment crews to deploy new products and services to various service groups within O&MS
• Ability to travel domestic and/or international up to 20%

Minimum Requirements:

Who You Are:
As a successful candidate, you will bring the following to the team:
• Meets one of the following two education requirements;
o Graduate of a four year accredited College or University with a degree in Bachelors of Science; Computer Engineer, Software Engineer, Industrial Engineer, Electrical Engineer, Data Science or Computer Science preferred
o Completion with a passing grade of at least two years of engineering or science study at a university, college, or technical school and a minimum of 3-5 years of direct work experience
• Well-developed communication skills with ability to explain and discuss complex technical information with all levels of the organization.
• Experience in one or more of the following; net programming, C/C++ programming (Microsoft Visual Studio a plus), or java programming (Eclipse IDE a plus)
• 3-5 years of applicable experience required; 2 plus preferred
