The successful candidate will lead and mentor others in a variety of quality assurance duties to ensure Westinghouse ASME Section III Items
meet the Westinghouse ASME III Quality Assurance Program (WCAP-12308) and Section III Code
requirements.

Your Day to Day:
• Support administration of the ASME Section III Quality Assurance Program for existing accredited locations under our N-1149 Certificate of Authorization.
• Act as an ASME Section III Quality Assurance subject matter expert.
• Act as the primary interface with the Authorized Nuclear Inspector (ANI) that includes processing of nonconformances.
• Maintain Westinghouse ASME Code Program (WCAP-12308) manual where:
o Lead manual (and supporting procedure) updates when updates are required.
o Assure the manual meets the organizations' process needs and reflects organizational changes.
o Assure Level 2 implementing procedures meet ASME Section III Code and Westinghouse Code Program requirements.
o Assure activities affecting quality are performed in accordance with the Westinghouse Code Program.
• Support ASME Section III Code Projects by:
o Coaching and mentoring for employees with regard to ASME Code applications (e.g. Data Reports) and compliance for new and established Westinghouse projects.
o Assuring that quality commitments and schedule aligns with customer needs and expectations.
o Assuring all Section III Code and Westinghouse Code Program requirements have been met prior to Code Certification (Stamping) Section III Components including component National Board Registration (when required).
• Follow-up on Westinghouse Code Program corrective actions, evaluate responses and ensure objective evidence substantiates adequate closure.
• Capable of completing delegated authority of the Codes & Standard Program Manager (CSPM) when the CSPM is not available.
• Support preparation efforts and host ASME Code Surveys, Authorized Inspection Agency (AIA) Audits and Internal Assessments of the Westinghouse Code Program, including new locations.
o Assure required responses to all ASME Section III Code findings are correct, complete, submitted and closed on time.


Minimum Requirements:

Who You Are:
As a successful candidate, you will bring the following to the team:

• A Bachelor of Science degree in a Mechanical Engineering discipline or related technical field.
• Knowledge and 8+ years practical experience working with the ASME Section III Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code and ASME NQA-1 is required.
• 8 to 10 years of progressively more responsible and varied assignments in quality assurance/project management and quality assurance programs.
• Demonstrated experience interfacing with customers, suppliers, regulators (e.g. U.S. NRC) and internal technical groups.
• Relevant experience and application with US NRC Regulations such as 10CFR50 Appendix B and 10CFR21
• Relevant experience in nuclear construction or nuclear fabrication quality assurance/project management (or equivalent) of large, complex engineering, procurement, and fabrication/construction projects will be considered.
• Excellent written (error-free) and verbal communication skills are required, including the ability to communicate technical requirements and regulatory compliance information.
• Communicates clear roles and responsibilities, standards, expectations, structures and processes to ensure successful delivery of high-quality, error-free work.
• Manages emotions in challenging situations and owns decisions and mistakes.
• Experience as an Authorized Nuclear Inspector or National Board Inspector is a plus.
• General working knowledge of ASME Section VIII, XI, and supporting Code books (e.g. Sections II, V, or IX) is a plus.
• Ability to travel up to 15%.
