Your Day-to-Day:

- Establish and lead BWR Field Services engineering processes and programs. This includes documentation structure, requirements and guidelines, testing practices and procedures, and general design practices.
- Drive standardization in tooling processes and applications
- Establish tooling development procedures and guidelines to streamline current model.
- Provide forward thinking to begin and setup future projects for team members.
- Drive personnel growth for new and existing team members to ensure proper tools and training are in place to effectively complete project deliverables
- Provide intermittent feedback to team members and assist Tooling and Technology Manager in the annual appraisal process of team members
- Establish and lead collaboration efforts between different Westinghouse divisions to achieve common goals and maximize synergies within BWR Field Services.
- Work with the Tooling and Technology Manager to continuously develop team goals and vision
- Support and consult team members during their developmental projects
- Manage relatively large development projects involving cross functional teams; different Westinghouse divisions and outside suppliers.
- Review, standardize, and direct the implementation of Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA’s) for field services tooling
- Review cost estimates for developmental projects of team members
- Develop and manage customer solutions for field delivery issues.
- Travel 40-60% of time to both domestic and international sites.
- Perform general problem solving to unique issues.
- Well developed communication skills with ability to explain and discuss difficult information and to gain cooperation.

Minimum Requirements:

As a successful candidate, you will bring the following to the team:

- Bachelors Degree in Engineering
- Previous managerial experience preferred
- Business Administration training preferred
- Minimum 5 years related engineering experience.
- Autodesk Inventor 3-D CAD software experience preferred.
- Ability to lead projects without management oversight, (self starter).
- Work in a team atmosphere and interface well with internal and external customers.
- Ability to obtain/maintain Unescorted Site Access including drug screening processes.
- Demonstrated competencies in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Work, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Demonstrated Customer 1st or Six Sigma experience preferred.
- Knowledge of BWR reactor systems and servicing equipment preferred.
- Demonstrated experience with welding design, structural analysis, and fabrication.
- Knowledge of the ASME / AWS codes preferred.
- Flexibility to work in dynamic work environment with changing issues and customer demands.
- Demonstrated ability to resolve issues through immediate action
