Your Day-to-Day:
  • Responsible for all project management processes on moderate complexity projects, a portfolio of lower complexity projects, or a high complexity project. Lead medium-sized team , which may include project controls and sub-project managers. Support proposal process for moderate complexity projects, as assigned.
  • Partner with various digital solution teams to ensure the availability of resources and skill sets necessary to deliver on program commitments; supporting the digitalization Solution Manager and other business development leaders to set adjust strategy and to capture growth opportunities that advance related strategic and business objectives through the development of business cases.
  • Maintain continuous alignment of digitalization program scope with strategic business objectives, and make recommendations to modify the program to enhance effectiveness toward the business result or strategic intent. Provide leadership to train, motivate, and direct technical and administrative personnel to resolve issues during project implementation.
  • Oversee the development of cost estimates and offers for digitalization projects and initiatives including but not limited to business case development, internal/external cost estimate collection and support and/or drive customer negotiations.
  • Complete all aspects of planning process including authoring project management plans and developing scope, schedule, and cost baselines as well as, risk and stakeholder registers per the Westinghouse Global Project Excellence Procedure (GPEP).
  • Use interpersonal skills to cultivate positive relationships with digitalization team members, customers, and other stakeholders (e.g., internal management) in a matrix environment to facilitate successful project completion as well as identify opportunities for additional business growth.


Minimum Requirements:

Who You Are:
As a successful candidate, you will bring the following to the team:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Engineering, Business, Construction Management, or related technical discipline required. Advanced degree in Project Management, Engineering, Construction or Business preferred or equivalency.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as project manager leading and directing low to moderate complexity projects to successful completion (3 years in technical/engineering role and 2 years as project manager may be considered as equivalent); 6-10 plus years of applicable Project Management preferred.
  • Familiar with the Project Management Institute (PMI®)’s Project Management Body of Knowledge required. PMI Project Management Professional (PMP®) certification or other approved equivalent project management certification is required or have the ability to acquire within 18 months.
  • Internal candidates must have, or be enrolled in Westinghouse GPEX Advanced Project Manager qualification process. For External candidates, willingness to enter into the Westinghouse GPEX program to obtain Advanced Project Manager qualification is required. Qualification of Advanced Project Manager Qualification must be completed within the designated program time period.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, such as effective verbal and written communications; ability to lead team members; ability to develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders; and ability to make decisions and carry out multiple tasks as assigned, with minimal guidance from supervisory Project Managers and mentors.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft® Office tools. Knowledge and skill of project scheduling and cost management.
  • Experience with SAP, Primavera (P6), Microsoft Project, Microsoft SharePoint, and Active Risk Manager Software tools is a plus.
  • Willing to travel 20-25% in a lead role.
