This is a 1st Shift Position to:

Plan, organize, communicate and monitor department and plant resources to achieve effective utilization of employees, equipment, and material consistent with safety, regulatory, quality, productivity and financial requirements.
Assure appropriate priority for inspection demands and provide feedback to internal customers.

Foster a safety and quality conscious environment through the use and reinforcement of Human Performance (HuP) tools. Conduct and take action based on HuP observations.
Ensure personnel compliance to safety, regulatory and quality requirements. Monitor personnel and plant activities to identify unfavorable trends. Coach and drive improvement.

Apply analytical skills to production or equipment issues within department and plant-wide to initiate proper corrective action.
Responsible for all aspects of production, quality, maintenance and facilities in assigned area of responsibility across multiple shifts.

Determine task performance/skill requirements. Evaluate employee skill levels, focus training plans on deficiencies, and reinforce employee development and training.

Collaborate with employees, peers, and management to establish and maintain an organization capable of operating efficiently and effectively in inspection, and shipment of product.

Handle concerns and issues and attempt to resolve fairly and efficiently.

Ensure compliance to federal, state and local laws as well as Human Resources policies and procedures.

Account and approve time in time management systems. Manage corrective action processes to ensure problem identification as well as timely and effective resolution.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree or combination of experience and education in a technical discipline or equivalent. (Preferably: Bachelor’s degree with either a technical or business focus).

At least eight (8) years in a manufacturing and/or production environment. (Preferably: Three (3) or more years as a manager or supervisor in a Commercial Nuclear Facility).

General understanding of employee relations policies, industry standards, quality requirements and environmental/safety regulations.

Broad understanding of manufacturing and qualityprocesses.
Fundamental knowledge of technical requirements for production, quality, maintenance and facilities.
