In this position, the CAE Analyst 5 can expect to be responsible for the following:
  • Has general responsibility for resolving complex problems using knowledge of a variety of tools and techniques.
  • Provides Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) guidance and training for less experienced personnel.
  • Helps implement and enforce the policies and procedures to support the organization's Engineering applications (used by both Engineering and Construction). Interfaces with CAE application vendors for application support.
  • Tests engineering applications and provide results to CAE management. Evaluates user requests, deploys software, handles permissions, and understands licensing methods.
  • Trains users in CAE applications as needed.
  • Will work closely with individual users.
  • Understanding of and adherence to Nuclear procedures is a must.
  • Provides direction to project personnel. Promotes cost-effective solutions, manages costs.
  • Typically reports to the CAE Manager.

Minimum Requirements:

The successful candidate for this position will possess the following:
  • Applies knowledge and skills in Interpreting customer needs, assessing requirements and identifying solutions to a wide range of standard and nonstandard CAE situations.
  • Able to work independently with minimal guidance.
  • Usually determines own work priorities.
  • Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience.
  • Understands and utilizes SCCM or equivalent tools for software deployment and other uses, understand Active Directory and server share permissioning methods.
  • Requires extensive knowledge of engineering and construction project execution and analysis using 2D and 3D CAE technology.
  • Extensive hands-on administration of 2D CAD (primarily MicroStation) and PDS 3D applications is a must.
  • Construction support experience is required.
  • Previous Nuclear or similar experience is required.
  • Good time management skills and the ability to multitask is a must.
  • Good communication skills are required to communicate with Management, engineering and construction field personnel at all levels.
  • Intergraph (Pelican Forge) SupportModeler training or administrative experience is a big plus.
  • Detailed knowledge of FrameWorks and/or EE Raceway is a plus.
  • Typically has 10-25 years relevant experience.
