We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Civil Structural Engineer based at our Norwood, MA office. In this position, a Civil Structural Engineer can expect to be responsible for the following:

As a member of the Civil/Structural Engineering Group for nuclear and fossil projects responsibilities will be to perform a variety of engineering and design assignments and support procurement and construction activities. Independently evaluates, selects and uses standards, techniques, procedures and criteria for technical projects. Perform other duties as required. Must be willing to travel and accept temporary site assignments as the need arises.

Responsible for developing, reviewing, and issuing structural calculations, specifications, standards and procedures. Reviewing and issuing structural steel, connections, reinforced concrete, rebar, embedments, and electrical equipment and support drawings.

Minimum Requirements:

The successful candidate for this position will possess the following:

* Bachelors or Masters degree in Civil Engineering with emphasis on Structural Engineering is required.

* Minimum of 3 years applicable experience required with progressive technical expertise; 4 plus years preferred. Experience in Structural engineering and design will be required. Experience with nuclear and/or fossil structural modification projects preferred.

* Knowledgeable in IBC, state and local codes. ACI, AISC, ASCE and ASTM Standards. Working lnowledge of structural steel and concrete codes; and USNRC Regulatory Guides. Experienced in analysis and design of structures for construction, static, earthquake, dynamic, impact, hydraulic and wind loads.

*Experience with rigging/heavy lifts is a plus.

* Active pursuit of or has professional registration is expected.

* Experience in structural engineering and design at operating nuclear or fossil facilities is a plus.

* Good written, verbal and interpersonal skills to interface with clients and other project team members. Strong professional ethics and a questioning attitude.

* Acts as a facilitator to resolve project project issues quickly.
