Your Day-to-Day:

The Director (Associate Director) position is responsible for coordinating the company's overall compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act and is directly responsible for implementing and executing a continuously improved program to ensure compliance with its Sections 302 and 404 on a global scale. In this highly-visible position, the Director leverages the VP, Global Financial Controls in providing guidance to executive and senior management on the requirements of the regulations, acts as the subject matter expert and liaison with the external auditors, and leads a team of global professionals (key control owners) in the evaluation and reporting of the company's internal controls over financial reporting. This position also carries direct responsibility for identifying and driving operational effectiveness and efficiency, through standardization of financial processes and underlying controls globally between regions, as applicable.

- Communicates SOX requirements and financial control compliance expectations with all elements of Sarbanes-Oxley globally.
- Drives key strategies and program initiatives designed to ensure compliance with SOX 302 and 404
- Completes quantitative and qualitative analysis to establish coverage of internal controls over financial reporting
- Oversees documentation of key business processes by the business units and function leads; identification of significant financial reporting risks and key controls
- Coordinates a rigorous testing program of both SOX key business controls (Entity level, Financial Process, and IT general controls) that is executed by key global control owners and monitored by Global Financial Controls; partnering with organizations outside of Finance as applicable to enable success.
- Evaluates control deficiencies and monitors remediation actions, timelines and progress
- Assists the VP of Global Financial Controls in developing reports for executive management and the audit committee regarding SOX planning, testing, and status of remediation actions
- Develops and leads presentations on SOX results, SOX-related initiatives and status, trainings with key business leaders, control owners, and the external auditors
- Responsible for design and oversight of controls and processes designed to ensure that risk is managed, regulatory oversight responsibilities are complied with, financial goals are targeted and budgets are met.
- Overseeing adherence and contributing to updates in internal policies dictating compliance related to finance activities
- Responsible for increasing the operational efficiency of the organization in order to meet financial goals and business objectives

Minimum Requirements:

Who You Are:
As a successful candidate, you will bring the following to the team:

- Bachelor’s degree in fields such as finance, business administration and accounting. MBA preferred.
- 10 to 15 years of overall experience; (including five years of demonstrated experience in an accounting, finance, or internal audit function, five years of related SOX experience.
- CPA or other directly relevant professional certification
