We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Environmental, Health, Safety and Quality Manager in Westinghouse Government Services. This position will be located in Richland, WA. In this position, an EHS&Q Manager can expect to be responsible for the following:
  • Responsible for single point accountability to the 222-S Project Manager for managing and overseeing 222-S Project Environmental, Safety, Health and Quality requirements and programs to meet and exceed overall goals, annually established Performance Evaluation and Measurement Plan (PEMP) goals and Westinghouse Government Services’ goals.
  • Oversee ESH&Q and security site wide performance of services for the Hanford 222-S radiological and non-radiological laboratory operations, maintenance, engineering, and facility upgrades/new-construction, and reporting.
  • Areas of responsibility include but are not limited to: environmental regulatory management (compliance with state and federal regulations), event reporting and investigation, waste handling, worker safety and health program, industrial hygiene, beryllium program, radiation protection, fire protection, site-wide safety systems, emergency management, analytical/facility quality assurance, and safeguards and security.

Minimum Requirements:

The successful candidate for this position will possess the following:
  • 10+ years of experience providing management and technical nuclear safety support in a chemical or nuclear facility (in lieu of a degree will consider 15+ years of professional experience providing management and technical nuclear environmental, safety, security, health and quality support in a chemical or nuclear facility)
  • Experience managing ESH&Q nuclear projects or operations of similar size, scope and complexity: 300 persons + contractors, $60M/year budget, and a highly regulated project/operations environment.
  • Working experience with Department of Energy [DOE] or Nuclear Regulatory Commission facilities
  • Knowledge and proficiency in Department of Energy [DOE] and related industry standards on Safety Basis
  • Bachelor of Science (BS) or equivalent degree from an accredited university
