We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Principal Environmental Engineer in our Ogden Plant.
In this position, a Principal Environmental Engineer can expect to be responsible for the following:
Provide leadership in determining solutions to complex environmental and regulatory challenges.
  • Lead ISO 14001 Management Systems.
  • Ensure facility is compliant to applicable environmental regulations including: solid waste, wastewater, storm water, groundwater, air quality, right-to-know, and corrective action.
  • Prepare compliance reports for regulators.
  • Maintain technical awareness in advancements in environmental operations and regulatory changes.
  • Contact is frequent with customers, regulators, and executive management.
  • Presentation skills are critical to influence derived outcome.
  • Listening skills, as well as ability to articulate explanations are critical.
  • Support EHS and process hazard risk assessments.
  • Support EHS audit process.
  • Identify and recommend improvements where established practices and methodology are inadequate.
  • Evaluate the results of programs and prepare reports and recommendations based on these evaluations.
  • Provide written and oral communications that influence others to support the organization’s goals.
  • Individual influences and directs peers on team projects.
  • Provide direction and assume project management responsibility both inside and outside department lines.

Minimum Requirements:

The successful candidate for this position will possess the following:
  • Bachelors' Degree in Environmental or Chemical Engineering or relevant science field from an accredited institution is preferred.
  • 8-years of commensurate, progressive experience in professional environmental work are required.
  • Experience in an industrial environment and working directly with regulators is preferred.
  • Experience in air permitting and new source review preferred.
