The Global Indirect Sourcing Director leads all indirect procurement efforts for the global enterprise and is responsible to build a strategic team in order to create a sustainable competitive advantage whilst delivering financial performance objectives by designing and implementing the specific category’s procurement strategy, through the deep understanding of the Indirect categories, its long and short term market dynamics and trends, by identifying the key drivers that influence the price structure and create a sustainable competitive advantage to the long term success of WEC.

Your Day-to-Day:
  • Lead the global Strategic Sourcing Process and Procurement network for Indirect Planning, Definition, Proposition and Execution and Planning and Definition of the strategy for the Indirect Materials by bringing specific knowledge on the market and suppliers
  • Build up a “best in class” indirect sourcing organization with SME’s able to achieve sustainable savings targets
  • Coordinate Context and Negotiation Planning and actively participate in negotiations with suppliers together with Procurement network to meet business requirements and ensure compliance with legal standards
  • Collaborate closely with Regional teams as to identify areas of improvement, market and suppliers’ knowledge, and follow-up on key contracts
  • Build SRM Process with the suppliers to develop further synergies during the contract life.
  • Follow-up the supplier and contract portfolio strategically to reduce supply risk, cost and deliver a sustained competitive advantage
  • Manage and mentor direct reports, evaluating employee performance and coaching to develop their potential and ensure team delivers savings targets in terms of EBIT (i.e. year-over-year cost reduction) and cash (i.e. payment terms); removes appropriate roadblocks
  • Creation and ongoing value creation with a world class supply base and development of organizational procurement strategy with best-practice based processes (e.g., leadership of high-value/strategic sourcing efforts)
  • Managing the skills and competency development of procurement staff, including training development and knowledge management capabilities and development of benchmarks and scorecards to be used for continuous improvement

Minimum Requirements:

Who You Are:
As a successful candidate, you will bring the following to the team:
  • Bachelor’s degree required, MBA preferred
  • Minimum of 15 years of supply chain experience; At least 10 years of leadership experience in a Supply Chain role within a manufacturing environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with team members, peers, vendors and customers
  • Ability to effectively manage change
  • Critical thinking and reasoning skills, ability to identify weaknesses and strengths of alternative solutions or approaches to opportunities
  • Experience supporting customers in various industries, experience in an automotive OEM supply environment required
  • Solid strategic sourcing and negotiation skills required
  • Excellent understanding and in depth knowledge of the entire supply chain management process including purchasing, logistics, inventory management, ERP, etc. in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong computer skills, exceptional experience with databases, ERP/MRP systems and experience with Microsoft Office products, ability to develop presentations
  • Willingness and ability to travel frequently
  • Proven experience leading global projects to desired outcomes, including working outside of domicile country
  • Culturally aware
  • Proven strong emotional intelligence to guide thinking and behavior
