If this sounds like an environment you would thrive in, we have an exciting opportunity for a three (3) Manufacturing Operators in our Grids Department at our Columbia, SC Plant.

Your Day-to-Day:

1. Work from route cards, operating procedures, and instructions from Supervisor.

1. Assemble stamped and formed components and picture frame material, in accordance with instructions, prescribed procedures and drawings.

1. Weld grid corners and test for quality of the weld.

1. Adjust welding equipment to meet quality requirements.

5. Clean braze assembly fixtures, apply stop-off and brazing compound to grid assembly and spider components using prescribed procedures.

6. Inspect grid assembly, picture frames and spider components for proper alignment, clearance and overall dimensions.

7. Inspect and make necessary corrections to ensure proper interior dimensions and perpendicularity.

8. Using Dewalt grinders, grind grid assembly corners to specified angle and dimensions.

9. Inspect grid cells for pitch and/or perpendicularity using the co-ordinate measuring machine and correct any misalignment in the prescribed manner.

10. Finish exterior surface of grid and spider using grinders per prescribed procedures.

11. Bead blast exterior surfaces of grid assemblies, spider components and top nozzle springs.

12. Weld inserts into grid assembly and ream inserts to meet quality requirements using drill press per prescribed procedures and drawings.

13. Set alignment of inner mixing vanes and/or outer vanes, guide tabs and springs.

14. Inspect grid assembly and spider components for quality of workmanship throughout fabrication, using visual checks and gauges.

15. Repair grid assemblies and spider components at any required point of fabrication.

16. Maintain equipment and leave work area in a clean and orderly condition.

17. Adhere to accountability, criticality, safety, security, and hygiene procedures.

18. Perform traceability function as required.

Who You Are:

As a successful candidate, you will bring the following to the team:

• High school diploma/GED is required.
• Two years of manufacturing experience is preferred.
