We currently have an excellent career opportunity for a Lead Installation Support Electrical Engineer at our Vogtle site.

In this position, the Lead Installation Support Electrical Engineer will report to the Electrical and I&C Installation Support Manager and be located at the Vogtle Units 3 and 4 construction site. The Lead Installation Support Electrical Engineer is expected to perform the following duties:

• Technical Advisory role in support of all activities associated with installation of the AP1000 Nuclear Power Plant projects WEC supplied Electrical equipment and instrumentation. This includes working with the Project Teams and interfacing with various functional organizations such as engineering, start-up and site construction organizations.
• Site installation support responsibility begins with receipt inspection of the WEC equipment at the Vogtle project site and ends with turnover to the Startup-up Team.
• Provide site leadership necessary to resolve issues with WEC scope of supply and installation of all WEC electrical equipment and instrumentation within the Nuclear Island.

Minimum Requirements:

A successful candidate would be familiar with and/or have experience with the following:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent previous experience.
• At least 4 years of working on AP1000 electrical and instrumentation systems (preferred).
• Experience working with Home Office (Cranberry) Engineering organizations.
• Demonstrated leadership roles on major engineering, procurement and construction projects relating to the power generating and/or nuclear process industries.
• Project execution and hands-on experience in supervising equipment installation and construction testing is preferred.
• Participate in readiness/challenge reviews, problem resolution and provide technical leadership to resolve schedule challenges.
• Strong communication skills
• Strong technical problem solving abilities
• Strong leadership and teambuilding skills

Must be able to obtain and maintain Unescorted Access at a Nuclear Facility to perform the required responsibilities of this role.
