We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Manager, Quality Assurance, on our QSPI team at our Cranberry Township, PA global headquarters location. The Quality Assurance manager will be responsible for a staff of Quality professionals to oversee the implementation and maintenance of the Westinghouse Global Management System for the Product Line. The position provides direct support for deliveries of products, systems and upgrades of significant scope, associated with commercial nuclear power plants safety and non-safety projects.

The Manager, Quality Assurance should expect to be responsible for the following:

• Manage a team of QA engineers to perform a wide range of Quality Assurance functions, including further development and implementation of the Westinghouse Global Management System; project quality plans and project procedures for the Product Line.
• Ensure staff is appropriately trained and manage employee performance to achieve project objectives.
• Develop annual department budget and manage expenditures achieve budget projections.
• Provide cost estimates for quality assurance activities as input to the marketing bid/proposal process.
• Maintain compliance with the Westinghouse Global Management System for nuclear safety-related and non-nuclear safety-related scope.
• Promote, nurture and assure a mature and healthy Nuclear Safety Culture and Safety Conscious Work Environment across all Global I&C product line locations.
• Drive safe, error free performance through active use and promotion of Human Performance tools and organizational learning.
• Communicate and implement quality assurance best practices through continuous improvement.
• Recommend, resolve and implement global solutions to quality problems; and ensure solutions are communicated and implemented across the Global I&C product line locations.
• Ensure rigorous oversight of specified activities.
• Recommend and implement solutions to quality problems, ensure swift and thorough corrective and preventive action.
• Ensure effective change management, keeping clear and open lines of communication with Quality leadership, regulatory agencies, customers and suppliers as appropriate.
• Interface with Quality organizations within Westinghouse, including product line QA organizations, Quality Program, Supplier Quality Oversight and Supplier Quality Assessment to ensure compliance and consistency of QA process and to share best practices and lessons learned.
• Interface with customers, regulatory and industry organizations on behalf of Westinghouse, and influence appropriate quality changes and improvements.

Minimum Requirements:

• BS degree or equivalent (preferably engineering/technical)
• 10 or more years of progressively more responsible quality assurance experience required
• Broad knowledge of nuclear quality assurance regulations, codes and standards.
• Working knowledge of U.S. commercial nuclear power regulations, e.g. 10CFR50 Appendix B, ASME NQA-1, ASME B&PV Code, ANSI, 10CFR21, and comparable international regulations and standards is preferred.
• Experience in the application of Nuclear Safety Culture and Human Performance principles
• Knowledge of engineering, manufacturing, fabrication and testing work processes, general business acumen.
