WesDyne International specializes in the development and application of advanced non-destructive examination inspection equipment, and services for reactor vessel, turbine generator and related systems.

At WesDyne, a Level III individual responsible for the following:

• Maintain Level III certifications in UT, ET, VT or PT.
• Conduct non-destructive examinations according to written procedures. Interpret the results of the examinations in accordance with applicable standards and specifications.
• Prepare procedures and examination program plans in support of WesDyne projects.
• Prepare inspection reports during examination processes and where applicable transmit final reports to designated customer and company personnel.
• Perform qualification tests and related activities in the development of new or revised inspection processes.
• Act as project lead and customer interface for various NDE projects.
• Set up, calibrate, and operate various NDE inspection systems.
• Understand and apply ASME Code standards and requirements when performing inspections.
• Assist in the development and implementation of training programs, and conduct training classes.
• Perform a lead role in activities, ensuring that they are completed with a high degree of quality and within the parameters of qualified procedures and guidelines. Maintain a high level of attention to detail, and instruct coworkers on improving the team’s performance.
• Exercise and promote team-building skills with peers, supervisors, contractors, customers and other departments. Demonstrate good customer sensitivity and customer service skills. Maintain a focus on creative problem solving.
• Demonstrate team-oriented leadership skills in supervising projects. Develop schedules with resource milestones for teams/projects. Develop, maintain and modify equipment maintenance and mobilization plans. Provide performance feedback to management for personnel assigned to project. Maintain Resource Lead responsibilities, and perform duties of shift supervisor as required.
• Should be familiar with the Westinghouse training procedure and act as on the job trainer when required. Must also be able to develop training plans and document training as appropriate.
• Act professionally at all times and follow the uniform dress policy at customer sites and at Waltz Mill as a representative of WesDyne.
• Practice Safety First, Human Performance and ALARA principles as an integral part of all activities. Demonstrate good housekeeping practices in work areas
• This position requires extensive travel (50-70%), maintenance of “Unescorted Access” status, and working with hazardous materials.

Minimum Requirements:

The successful candidate for this position will possess the following:

• Must have at least nine years of experience performing non-destructive inspections of nuclear and non-nuclear power plants according to approved procedures and codes.
• Current level III NDE certification in ultrasonic. Additional NDE level III certifications recommended. EPRI NDE PDI qualifications for automated and/or manual inspections, including IGSCC, are desirable.
• Project management experience is a plus.
• Experience in balance of plant in-service inspections is desirable. Strong communication, customer service and organization skills required. *Must be able to obtain/maintain Unescorted Site Access clearances.
• Candidate must be able to travel 50-70%
