We currently have an opening for a Network Architect. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the following:
  • Deliver network design documents that satisfy a stated business need, technology requirement or special project request. Design documents include; Executive Summary, Objective, Scope, Assumptions, Key technologies utilized, Design Overview, Bills of Materials, List of Issues and Risks. Ensure solutions adhere to defined technological standards, best practices and policies.
  • Resolve highly complex problems considering network and electronic security requirements, limitations, costs, operating time and desired results. Initiate and promote cost effective changes, devise unique solutions to problems and institute measures to improve operating results while ensuring customer satisfaction. Coordinate efforts with associated groups to meet commitments
  • Work with other architects to forward Westinghouse standard technologies and design criteria. Work with network engineering team to implement designs and solutions. Scope of technologies includes: switch, router, firewall, voice, wireless, quality of service, LAN/WAN/VPN, IPS/IDS and other related network protocols and tools.
  • Conduct special projects and studies; create programs to query systems requiring complex analyses and innovative solutions. Analyze results, interpret information and provide related reports and recommendations. Lead and coordinate work of less experienced staff and provide training and support to users.

Minimum Requirements:

The successful candidate will possess the following:
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related fields. Typically eight to twelve years of professional experience. Alternatively, a special combination of education and experience and/or demonstrated accomplishments.
  • Experience with Voice and Cloud solutions.
  • Network focused Cisco certifications a plus but not required.
