Your Day-to-Day:

- Develop new and improve upon Westinghouse’s existing core design software products through the strategic implementation of state of the art reactor theory.
- Provide engineering support and domain expertise in resolving customer issues and customer requested enhancements to our core design and monitoring software product.
- Translate industry performance trends into actionable insights capable of being implemented through strategic investment in methodological enhancements.
- Coordinate and integrate complex methodology implementation programs, from proof of principle, through the requirement development, software design, qualification, and release processes.
- Develop and deliver presentations to communicate to the industry the strategic advancements Westinghouse is making in reactor physics modeling.
- Lead work of other engineers and provide periodic performance feedback to them.
- Identify and support business growth opportunities and present recommendations to management.
- Provide proactive communication with internal/external stakeholders ensuring progress is being made toward strategic objectives.
- Instruct, train, and guide personnel on methodology and software improvements.

Minimum Requirements:

As a successful candidate, you will bring the following to the team:

- A Master’s degree in Nuclear Engineering with 5+ years of applicable industry or nuclear relevant experience OR a PhD in Nuclear Engineering with relevant thesis work and industry collaboration
- Fluency in Fortran language is required.
