In this position, the Principal Electrical Engineer can expect to be responsible for the following:

• Support Electrical Functional Group in maintaining software compliance records and engineering corrective action compliance reports
• Capable of preparing specifications and calculations to support procurement and construction activities
• Capable of performing detailed technical analysis of complex project issues
• Capable of collection and interpretation of engineering data
• Understanding and maintenance of project design basis
• Ensure conformance to applicable engineering codes and standards as well as company policies and procedures.
• Assume ownership of electrical design tasks for multiple electrical/mechanical systems and independently manage associated Budget and Schedules

Minimum Requirements:

The successful candidate for this position will possess the following:

• Bachelor Degree or higher in Electrical Engineering
• Minimum 8 years of experience in electrical engineering with progressive technical experience
• Demonstrate knowledge of fossil or nuclear power plant electrical systems
• Experience on EPC power plant projects or at operating power plants
• Must be proficient in using ETAP for System Analysis and Protective Coordination
• Must be proficient in Protective Relaying with experience in creating logics and settings for SEL and GE Relays
• Experience in designing control wiring and protection schemes of large power equipment (GSU, Aux Xfmrs, Main Generator)
• Experience with Medium/Low Voltage Switchgear and Motor Control Center Control Wiring/Protection
• Familiarity with NRC and other applicable industry standards
• Experience with design and operation of multiple plant systems
• Candidate must meet the criteria for access to the company’s, partners’ and clients’ technologies
• PE License preferred
• Field experience on fossil or nuclear power plant projects preferred
