We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Principal Engineer located at our Waltz Mill site in Madison, PA. This person can expect to be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
  • Developing robotics software programming to support laboratory testing and field deployment of remote-operated unmanned aerial and ground-based vehicles for applications in the nuclear industry.
  • Driving cutting edge technology and innovation

Minimum Requirements:

The successful candidate will possess the following:
  • Bachelor’s degree in robotics-related engineering discipline required; master’s degree preferred
  • Experience working in robotics software programming
  • Fluent in C/C++ and Linux (Ubuntu preferred)
  • Fluent in Robot Operating System (ROS) and integrating ROS components (hardware & software)
  • Experience with MatLab, OpenCV and computer vision perception algorithms
  • Experience in ranging/imaging sensors, IMUs and hardware for robotics applications
  • Some experience preferred with modeling and manipulating point clouds, e.g. PCL
  • Some experience preferred with robot navigation & autonomy, e.g. SLAM, SfM, NanoMAP, etc.
  • Some experience preferred in drone avionics, e.g. PixRacer flight controller
