As a lead member of the Instrumentation and Controls Engineering Group for nuclear and non-nuclear projects, responsibilities will be to perform a variety of engineering and design assignments and support procurement and construction activities.

In this position, the Principal I&C Engineer can expect to be responsible for the following:

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

•Independently evaluates, selects and uses standards, techniques, procedures and criteria for technical projects.
•Perform work in accordance with applicable nuclear regulatory guidance documents, standard review plans, power plant design criteria, and associated industry codes, and standards
•Utilize Databases for maintaining instrument data and IO list
•Define instrument tagging requirements
•Generate control system wiring diagrams, instrument loop wiring diagrams and equipment layouts
•Incorporate I&C design requirements into P&IDs and prepare associated control system descriptions or logic diagrams
•Participates in specification development, bid package issuance, technical bid evaluations, and vendor document reviews for spec compliance

Minimum Requirements:

The successful candidate for this position will possess the following:

Basic Qualifications:

•Significant experience in I&C equipment selection and process system control design.
•Experience with design and operation of multiple plant operating systems.
•Requires Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical or Controls Engineering and at least 10 years of power plant work experience with progressive technical experience.
•Active pursuit of professional registration or certification is expected.

Desired/Preferred Qualifications:

•Experience at operating power generation facilities is preferred
•Experience with Emerson Ovation Control Systems
•Experience with PLC Controls and Programming
•Experience with Modbus, Profibus, Foundation Fieldbus or other
•Experience with Field Instrumentation Installation and Calibration
•Field/Start-up and testing/commissioning support experience
•SmatPlant Instrumentation experience
