If this sounds like an environment you would thrive in, we have an exciting opportunity for a Principal Manufacturing Engineer in the Westinghouse Government Services group, reporting to Joseph Halackna.
Your Day-to-Day:
• Perform advanced reactor materials analysis and testing for material behavior and manufacturability
• Analyze component designs for manufacturing readiness level, material compatibility and provide feedback into the design phase.
• Work with Westinghouse manufacturing and vendor teams on advanced manufacturing techniques and develop protoypes for advancing Manufacturing Readiness Levels and for use in testing.
• Lead complex technical projects, coordinating multi-functional teams to accomplish project objectives while meeting established schedule and budget requirements.
• Identify and define technical issues and challenges, direct efforts to successful resolution.
• Bring engineering rigor to resolution of problems that are sometimes loosely- or only partially-defined, requiring knowledge and experience within given discipline.
• Verify work of other engineers on assignments that range from basic to complex.
• Provide technical guidance and direction to and collaborate with other personnel including partners such as Los Alamos National Laboratory and Idaho National Laboratory

Minimum Requirements:

Who You Are:As a successful candidate, you will bring the following to the team:
• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• The ability to obtain and maintain a US Government security clearance. Clearance must be maintained without interruption.
• B.S. in Engineering, Manufacturing, or Material Sciences
• Familiarity with NQA-1 quality requirements in regards to component production.
• Strong computer skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple projects and tasks within a research and development program responsible for delivering designs to the customer.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience required or advanced degree
