Your Day-to-Day:
1) Develop and lead test programs on materials failure and other degradation mechanisms on nuclear reactor materials.
2) Provide subject matter expert positions on material degradation mechanisms to external and internal customers
3) Lead development of materials and material treatments necessary for innovative technologies including liquid lead cooled reactors, microreactors, accident tolerant fuel cladding, and advanced manufacturing techniques.
4) Develop contracts/programs with industry recognized groups such as EPRI, PWROG, NACE, NSUF, and National Labs.
5) Support failure analysis of nuclear reactor materials

Minimum Requirements:

Who You Are:
As a successful candidate, you will bring the following to the team:

* A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Metallurgy, Materials Science, Chemistry, or Chemical Engineering is required; Master’s degree is preferred.
* Minimum 6 years of applicable experience required; 10 plus years preferred.
* Experience with material degradation evaluations including stress-corrosion cracking, irradiation embrittlement, and mechanical testing of radiologically activated and/or contaminated materials is preferred.
