If this sounds like an environment you would thrive in, we have an exciting opportunity for a Principal Mechanical Engineer based at our CFFF (Columbia Fuels Fabrication Facility) based in Columbia, SC.

Your Day-to-Day:
• Perform engineering design and analysis, identify problems and propose operational solutions to projects and tasks that are loosely defined and complex in nature, requiring knowledge and experience within given disciplines.
• Identify, define and direct approach for successful resolution of significant technical issues.
• Provide specific engineering discipline expert knowledge to peers, vendors and customers. May be required to act as lead technical problem solver within area of specialization.
• Participate on multi-functional project teams with internal and/or external representation. May lead teams on loosely-defined projects and successfully achieve established budget and schedule requirements.
• Propose and initiate test programs and evaluate results.
• Identify and communicate areas for new products and product improvements to management.
• Provide technical guidance, training, and/or direction to other personnel.
• Identify and assist in development of new business opportunities.
• Participate in customer and vendor meetings to present technical materials and justification of services and product designs.

Minimum Requirements:

Who You Are:

As a successful candidate, you will bring the following to the team:

• BS in Mechanical Engineering required
• 6-10 years of applicable engineering experience required
• Proficiency in CAD required; (SolidWorks) preferred
