Your Day-to-Day:

1. Maintain and improve facility safety procedures to ensure they are usable by plant employees and reflect industry best practices and regulatory requirements while promoting a Safety Conscious Work Environment (SCWE) and Westinghouse’s strong Nuclear Safety Culture. Along with maintaining safety procedures some will require training associated with those procedures.
2. Conduct injury and illness investigations and provide plant management with recommendations to prevent recurrence. Along with injury/illness investigations is recordkeeping for injuries plant wide. This data should be trended and analyzed on a set frequency to determine areas for improvement within the plant.
3. Identify workplace safety hazards through the use of risk assessments to identify and manage the risks. Along with identification of hazards, participation in risk assessments and change management reviews.
4. Develop and execute the site wide safety improvement plan.
5. Participate actively in audits of the Industrial Safety programs. Drive the site health and safety management system in accordance with ISO45001 standards.
6. Support shop with problem solving related specifically to health and safety of employees.

Minimum Requirements:

Who You Are:
As a successful candidate, you will bring the following to the team:

* Bachelor’s Degree in any Engineering discipline or life or physical sciences, engineering or other EHS related subject matter.
* Minimum 6 years years of applicable industrial safety experience is required.
