We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Refueling Equpment Field Service Technician at our Shoreview, MN facility.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to supporting FHE&C outage critical cranes at nuclear power plants. Complete pre-operational maintenance on outage critical cranes, monitor equipment operation during the fuel move cycle. Troubleshoot and repair equipment failures. Complete and file a project log, along with writing a report for customers at the end of jobs. Follow-up with the customer on open issues to ensure closure prior to the next outage

Assist with the installation of new FHE&C outage critical cranes and crane platform control systems. Duties would include mechanical assembly, drilling and taping, motors and gearbox mounting, sheaves, reels and other mechanical components. Duties also include electrical assembly, cable routing, cabinet wiring and other general wiring. The ability to use basic hand tools is critical. Experience with PLC troubleshooting and PLC programming preferred. When not in the field, duties will include mechanical / electric shop support, as well as engineering support during the review phase of a project. This field service position requires at least 75% travel in and outside of the US.

Minimum Requirements:

•Desire an individual with hands-on experience troubleshooting and programming GE Fanuc 90-30 PLC’s who are also familiar with Proficy software platform.
•Minimum of 2 years "hands-on" experience in electro-mechanical and/or electronic maintenance, repair and system troubleshooting.
•Ability to read schematics, technical drawings and manuals to isolate faults and repair equipment.
•Specific knowledge and training in Electrical/Electronic and electro-mechanical maintenance and repairs.
•Comfortable troubleshooting electronics to the card and component level to include replacing components. Precision soldering experience is highly desired.
•Must be computer literate and be able to use Microsoft Windows and Office (Word and Excel)
•Must be able to pass a Background Check to obtain a DOE clearance & be Drug Free
•Ability to work well with teams during outages and repairs where long hours and adherence to guidelines and SOP’s are required and strictly enforced.
