Main tasks
  • Perform design basis safety analyses, safety evaluations or control system studies for nuclear Pressurized Water Reactors (PWRs)
  • Perform Fluid Systems capability evaluation/calculations of systems and components specifically related to the commercial nuclear industry with a focus on thermal-hydraulics, flow calculation and accidents
  • Participate in the development of licensing documentation, and support customers in resolving regulator requests
  • Address changes, updates or development of Emergency Operating Procedures and associated guidance based on plant design and operation changes or new methodologies, for Pressurized Water Reactors (PWRs) & Water-Water Energetic Reactors (VVERs).
  • Occasionally travel to customer sites or to Industry Group Workshops to present technical materials and justification of products and services
  • Participate to integrated project teams and communicate to all involved parties

Minimum Requirements:

  • Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electro-Mechanical, Nuclear, or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years of applicable experience is required (ideally in the nuclear sector), typically 15 plus years of professional experience is preferred
  • Fluent in English with proven reporting skills
  • Strong technical interest, predisposition for multi-tasking, flexibility, understanding of project priorities and teamwork abilities required
  • Ability to apply fundamental engineering principles (including fluid mechanics and thermodynamics)
  • Experience in PWR/VVER Operations is a plus
