We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Compliance Counsel to join our Labor, Ethics and Regulatory Matters Legal team at our headquarters location in Cranberry Township, PA. The Senior Compliance Counsel will be responsible for the Company’s compliance throughout the Americas and Asia and provide advice and counsel, including ethics compliance, anti-corruption, gifts and hospitality, anti-trust, data protection including Privacy Shield and GDPR, trade compliance, and generally US-based laws and regulations. We are seeking a motivated strong leader to help a company execute its business plan and remain in strict compliance with all laws and regulations.

In partnership with Westinghouse leadership, Westinghouse Legal takes an active role in guiding the direction and structure of our strategic initiatives and commercial arrangements.

Accordingly, we are seeking a highly motivated, self-starter with good business judgment who enjoys working in a dynamic, fast-paced and collaborative environment. In this challenging position, the Senior Compliance Counsel will report to our Deputy General Counsel, Labor, Ethics and Compliance, located in Cranberry Township, PA. The Senior Compliance Counsel will work closely with key executives and the Global Ethics and Compliance team, advising on an array of legal compliance issues and contribute to the development of overall direction, strategy and corporate decision making processes and guard against legal risks involving the Company.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Law degree and license to practice law in the United States.
  • Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (“CCEP”) or other relevant/equivalent audit/compliance certification is desired but not required.
  • Strong leadership skills. Selected candidate will be the interface between the Company in the US and all European and Asian affiliates.
  • A true subject matter expert in compliance particularly in the areas of anti-corruption and ethics compliance with experience with an international company.
  • 8 to 10 years of experience as a compliance counsel, preferably including in-house legal experience.
  • Advanced interpersonal skills such as the ability to communicate, negotiate and influence senior leaders, to deliver effective verbal and written communications, ability to operate and lead within complex team structures, able to analyze problems, establish facts, and make complex decisions with little to no supervision.
  • Proven ability to maintain discretion and /or confidentiality
  • Able to travel throughout the United States and occasional trips to Europe and Asia. Travel will be approximately 1 week per month.
  • Foreign language ability is desired but not required.
