  • Ensure the technical coordination of innovation projects within the company and with external organizations
  • Develop advanced numerical methods and support the development of future technical products and services within the structural mechanics field and fluid systems
  • Provide guidance, reviews and develop presentations and reports relative to the various ongoing innovation projects
  • Prepare project reviews and support the internal innovation process
  • Propose innovation ideas in the area of advanced simulations/numerical methods
  • Participate to integrated project teams and communicate to all involved parties
  • Open mindset, flexibility and curiosity in new technologies in the broad sense are required

Minimum Requirements:

  • MS degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
  • Background in stress analysis of mechanical components, piping systems
  • Background in materials and degradation mechanisms
  • Solid experience in FEA software for structural analysis
  • Experience in advanced numerical methods and simulations (e.g. optimization, welding residual stresses, fracture mechanics, advanced FE modeling techniques, CFD, thermo-hydraulics)
  • Background in data analysis, machine learning would be an asset
  • Knowledge of Pressure Vessel Construction Codes (ASME, RCC-M) would be an asset
  • Knowledge in fabrication processes and welding would be an asset.
  • Fluent in English with proven reporting skills
