Your Day-to-Day:

• Provide the Westinghouse Global Products & Services (GPS) businesses with licensing and regulatory support as part of the Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (L&RA) team. The primary Product Line Regulatory Support assignments include but are not limited to; Fuel Engineering licensing, Topical Report development, Innovation programs licensing support, licensing support of utility customers (e.g. 50.59 evaluations), and NRC interface leadership and support. As part of the overall L&RA team, this position will also provide licensing support in areas such as: fuel facilities, radioactive materials, transportation, Decontamination, Decommissioning, and Remediation (DD&R), inspections, audits, and Part 21 analyses.
• Proactively develop Licensing product offerings to customers to help expand the L&RA Department.
• Interface with customers, regulators, and industry entities (e.g. NRC, NEI, PWROG) and participate in industry activities to ensure Westinghouse interests prevail and to maintain expertise on all current licensing related issues.
• Engage innovation and product line teams in creating Topical Reports, requesting approval by the NRC, and supporting long-term Westinghouse strategic plans.
• Provide licensing and regulatory expertise to internal Westinghouse organizations to improve performance and regulatory margin.
• Prepare 10CFR50.59 evaluations, 10CFR Part 21 evaluations, operability evaluations, licensing reports, license amendment requests, and other licensing documentation.
• Assemble and direct engineering teams in responding to complex utility problems related to safety and licensing.
• Support internal Westinghouse organizations, such as US and international fuel facilities, with licensing needs.

Minimum Requirements:

As a successful candidate, you will bring the following to the team:

• A Bachelor’s Degree in engineering discipline, or equivalent, is required.
• A minimum of 3 plus years of Licensing experience is highly desirable.
• Highly effective communication skills both written and oral.
• Understanding of Regulatory/Nuclear Regulatory Commission regulations, methods and processes.
• Ability to be effective in dealing with the Regulator, in person, orally and in written communications.
• Good judgment and the ability to prioritize a number of diverse tasks at a given time is required.
• Orientation towards achieving Customer Success
• Very effective teaming and team building skills.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively integrate multi-discipline inputs in developing solutions to utility problems.
• Understanding of general nuclear industry guidance documents; ASME, ANSI, ACI, INPO, etc.
