We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Licensing Engineer. In this position, a Licensing Engineer can expect to be responsible for the following:

1. Develop technical/licensing expertise in a functional area and resolve licensing critical issues.
2. Become a Design Control Document Licensing chapter lead.
3. Develop and maintain an effective working relationship with customers. Act as a focal point for communication between Westinghouse, external customers, and the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC).
4. Support the Licensing Change Package Program by creating licensing documents for submittal to AP1000 licensees and NRC.
5. Support the significant issues that impact the license and work with customers/NRC to drive them to closure.
6. Deliver licensing presentations to internal and external stakeholders.

Minimum Requirements:

The successful candidate for this position must possess:

1. Bachelor’s degree in engineering. Mechanical or Nuclear Engineer preferred.
2. Minimum 5 years of applicable engineering experience.
3. Knowledge of the design and operation of pressurized water reactor (PWR) plants.
4. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
5. Willingness to learn NRC regulations and Nuclear Industry Guidance.
6. Experience in making presentations and conducting meetings.
7. Candidates with prior plant operating experience is not required, but preferred.
