We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Quality Engineer in our Supplier Quality Assessment team at our Cranberry Township, PA headquarters location.

In this position, the incumbent can expect to be responsible for the following duties:

•Conduct and participate in audits of the global supply base to ensure compliance with applicable regulations, codes and standards.

•Issue audit reports, identifying necessary corrective actions, good observations and suggestions for improvement.

•Follow-up on supplier corrective action, evaluate responses and ensure objective evidence substantiates adequate closure.

•Apply advanced quality control techniques and statistical methods for collection of deficiency information to identify failure causes and trends, rate performance and measure effectiveness of supplier QA programs, and internal processes.

•Participate on site engineering teams and field services by assisting with development and implementation of site QA procedures and ensuring that procedures are followed during installation and testing of Westinghouse supplied systems, equipment, components or maintenance and repair programs.

•Participate in the Westinghouse internal audit program, evaluating the Westinghouse Quality Management System.

•Provide input to business development, supply chain, and other departments throughout Westinghouse concerning supplier qualification and development.

•Represent Westinghouse and provide input during audits of Westinghouse conducted by customers, inspections by government agencies, surveys by ASME, etc.

•Provide responses to corrective action requests and integrate audit results into existing QA plans and programs by developing and implementing new procedures.

•Assist in continued development of relevant presentation material for various purposes (training, industry events/conferences, company events, etc.).

Minimum Requirements:

The successful candidate for this position will possess the following:

•A Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering discipline, technical area or equivalent is required.

•Typically, eight or more years of professional experience in a nuclear or similarly regulated environment is required. A minimum of 18 months of experience in the nuclear industry is required.

•Previous nuclear supplier audit experience is required. NQA-1 Certified Lead Auditor certification is required or must be achievable in 3 months.

•Detailed knowledge of US NRC Regulations such as 10CFR50 Appendix B and 10CFR21; and national consensus standards of quality assurance, such as, ASME B&PV Code, ISO, ANSI ASME NQA1 and Appendices, ANSI N45.2 and the daughter standards, IEEE Standards. Familiarity with NDE techniques and applicable practices such as SNT-TC-1A.

•Ability to navigate typical office software such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project) and SAP.

•Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required, including the ability to communicate technical requirements and regulatory compliance information across language barriers.

• Confidence to speak directly with executive management of supplier organizations to communicate audit results, including both successes and programmatic deficiencies.

• Valid passport (or ability to obtain one) is required, as is ability to travel internationally for periods of up to three weeks. Position requires 25-50% travel.
