We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Structural Engineer in our WECTEC organization with the position being located in Charlotte, NC.

As a Structural Engineer to support the fabrication and construction of two AP1000 Nuclear Power Units under construction in USA. He/She will be focused on supporting AP1000 structural steel module fabrication and design activities.

As a design engineer he/she will be responsible for addressing technical issues related to the fabrication, assembly and construction of the Structural Modules and Shield Building. This includes technical justification of design changes (E&DCR), answers to Request For Information (RFI) and disposition of field deviations (N&D). He/she will work closely with the fabricator and constructor to resolve emergent technical issues to help the project construction schedule. AP1000 Design is different but using the same engineering, manufacturing, assembly, lifting, handling and final construction basics needed to be included/evaluated in the design. Responsible for addressing technical issues related to the fabrication, assembly and construction of the Structural Modules and Shield Building. Minimum Requirements:

The successful candidate for this position will possess the following:

* BSCE degree minimum. MSCE degree preferred.
* PE license preferred.
* Experience with ACI 349, AWS and AISC N690 codes.
* AP1000 experience preferred. Minimum of 5+ years of structural steel design/fabrication support experience is preferred.
