Your Day-to-Day:
This individual will serve as Technical Lead for global IT Systems and Platforms Integration. This function includes comprehensive understanding of systems and machine integration, including middleware technologies, API development (for integration), enterprise and industrial communication protocols, IoT and Industrial IoT (IIoT), machine-to-machine communication, and comprehensive interoperability. This role is defined as Senior Level with expectation for the role to mature into the Manager function with growth of IoT use cases, implementations and the Digital Platforms and Technologies organization.

- Architect/Design integration solutions using ISA-95 reference model as baseline (from plant floor devices up through Enterprise) to support product lines. Leverage industry best practices. Evaluate opportunities for open architecture for vendor agnostic design avoiding vendor lock-in.

-Establish standards for systems integration

-Support site operations in establishing systems integration frameworks based on well define business cases

-Implement on-prem/cloud hybrid solutions (with emphasis on cloud) that are compliant with Export Control policy
Work closely with security teams to ensure systems integration implementations meet security requirements

-Promote Digital activities through collaboration with product line stakeholders. Capture opportunities for systems and machine integration at local, regional and global levels. Demonstrate value of systems integration through real-time visual references and implementations.

-Collaborate with technology stakeholders in other product lines ensuring consistent integration approaches across the Enterprise supporting “One Westinghouse”.

-Lead and drive systems integration initiatives

Minimum Requirements:

Who You Are:
As a successful candidate, you will bring the following to the team:
  • BS in Computer Engineering, Computer Information Science, or equivalent.
    -5-10 years relevant experience
    -Experienced in Enterprise architecture
    -Strong understanding of data transport and storage methodologies
    -Strong proficiency in middleware and message brokering technologies and tools, including (OPC, DeviceWise, JBoss Fuse, etc.)
    -Strong proficiency in data transfer, routing, queueing (ie, MQTT), and conversion (ie., binary, hex, etc.) methodologies
    -Demonstrated knowledge in Enterprise & Industrial networking and communication protocols
    -Demonstrated knowledge in best practice network and server security
    -Demonstrated knowledge in wireless communication protocols including RFID
    -Proficient in Windows Server administration
    -Knowledgeable in Linux Server administration
    -Demonstrated knowledge in Machine-to-Machine integration
    -Comprehensive knowledge of IoT and Industrial IoT (IIoT)
    -Legacy communication methods (ie., token ring, serial, etc.)
    -Effective communication skills (written and oral). Able to convey technical concepts to non-technical audience.
    -Ability to generate technical documentation
    -Demonstrated leadership capability
    -Background in project management
