Your Day-to-Day:

The Secondary Side Inspection Engineer will lead projects to ensure the seamless integration of the new secondary side inspection product line with existing Steam Generator Services. This includes the development of work processes to plan and execute jobs as well as equipment planning and training resources who will be executing this work. This Engineer will also serve as a lead for the home office planning and field implementation of Secondary Side Inspection and retrieval projects. Home office planning work will include identifying the optimum tooling to execute the work, identifying necessary spares, determining optimum crew size and developing the project schedule. In the field, this position will be a working supervisor responsible for performing inspections and retrievals as well as providing direction to the rest of the crew and reporting status to the Project Manager.

• Develop or update training materials and programs to indoctrinate technicians into secondary side inspection and retrieval processes.
• Train personnel to flawlessly execute secondary side inspection and retrieval services
• Mentor less experienced Secondary Side Inspection Leads
• Lead crew of 6-8 field service technicians to perform visual inspections and retrieval of foreign material.
• Communicate status of preparation and field work as well as any issues.
• Develop or update maintenance procedures and processes
• Oversee preparation of equipment for field use
• Develop procedures for equipment use and field implementation.
• Perform inspections using manual video inspection probes for Top of Tubesheet, Upper Support Plate, and Steam Drum.
• Operate the robotic inspection system and audio/visual system.
• Retrieve foreign material from steam generator using remote tooling.
• Troubleshoot the equipment and processes associated with secondary side inspections.
• When required, perform FME monitoring in accordance with approved procedures

Minimum Requirements:

Who You Are:
As a successful candidate, you will bring the following to the team:
  • +10 years of experience in the nuclear field.
  • Associate Degree or higher is a plus.
