Your Day-to-Day:
  • Support Supply Chain Manager and Category Managers in execution of sourcing, materials strategies and best practices. Integrate with business goals to assure continuous improvement in key performance metrics.
  • Build strong, value-adding relationships with category management teams and/or plant cross-functional departments to strengthen sourcing and materials management effectiveness.
  • Develop and maintain strong strategic supplier relationships.
  • Develop, implement and manage contractual instruments. (e.g. purchase orders, scheduling agreements, value contracts etc.)
  • Monitor and report supplier performance metrics.
  • Develop a strong understanding and in-depth knowledge of assigned category, including supplier capabilities and capacities, product and process knowledge and customer requirements.
  • Serve as the primary contact in mediation and problem resolution relating to suppliers for assigned category.
  • Continuously search for opportunities to improve bottom-line company performance through business process improvement, supplier communications, and continuous improvement projects with suppliers.
  • Effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders to understand business needs and changes. Build processes and organizational alignment that will deliver desired business results.
  • Support the GSCS Supply Chain Manager and Category Managers in the development of strategies to ensure that cost improvement & integration synergy objectives are met.

Minimum Requirements:

Who You Are:
As a successful candidate, you will bring the following to the team:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in technical field or non-technical field such as, Business Administration, Supply Management or Related Technical Field required
  • Minimum 5, typically 6 to 7 years applicable supply management/purchasing/materials management or applicable related experience is required. MBA a plus
  • A basic understanding of nuclear industry practices and activities
  • Ability to travel domestically or internationally on a regular basis.
  • Functional experience with SAP or a similar ERP system, as well as with the Microsoft Office suite of programs; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, with strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to influence others through effective communications and working relationships across diverse functional areas
