We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Steam Generator Service Technician in out Madison, PA facility.

The Secondary Side Inspection Technician will support both the Secondary Side Visual Inspection and Foreign Material Retrieval Service as well as the Secondary Side Sludge Lance (Tubesheet Cleaning) Service.
Secondary side visual inspections will require the technician to remotely operate a robotic visual inspection system. It will also include using manual visual inspection probes and cameras to locate and/or retrieve potential foreign material.
Secondary Side Inspection/Retrieval Technician Responsibilities:
  • Set up and connect control boxes for audio video system and robotic inspection system. Direct the running of cables and staging equipment.
  • Lead the installation and set-up of inspection equipment.
  • Perform inspections using manual video inspection probes for Top of Tubesheet, Upper Support Plate, and Steam Drum.
  • Operate the robotic inspection system and audio/visual system.
  • Retrieve foreign material from steam generator using remote tooling.
  • Troubleshoot the equipment and processes associated with secondary side inspections.
  • When required, perform FME monitoring in accordance with approved procedures.
A sludge lance Control Station Operator (CSO) is responsible for operating the sludge lance system. CSOs should be capable of performing the work of a CSW and should possess the same minimum qualifications as well as being proficient in the operation of troubleshooting of the sludge lance system.
Sludge Lance CSO Responsibilities:
  • Set up and connect control boxes. Direct the running of cables and staging equipment.
  • Lead the installation and set-up of sludge lance equipment.
  • Operate the sludge lance trailer and system.
  • Troubleshoot the equipment and processes associated with secondary side services.
  • When required, perform FME monitoring in accordance with approved procedures.
Travel up to 50%

Minimum Requirements:

Minimum education is High School Diploma, Associates Degree in related field preferred.

Previous PLC experience a plus
