We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Systems Engineer Lead at Haiyang. In this position, a Systems Engineer Lead can expect to perform the following duties:

• Focus primarily on the resolution of system design issues with installed commodities and structures
• Provide on-shore technical interface with the customer on various engineering matters related to the, construction and testing of the AP1000 units.
• Coordinate interfaces between Westinghouse technical team (on-shore and at the US home office) and the customer’s technical team on the resolution of systems engineering issues
• Serve as the Design Authority on the Test Review Board (TRB) to review the following:
• Approved Safety Related Pre-Operational and Startup Procedures prior to Implementation.
• Performed/Completed Safety Related Pre-Operational and Startup Test Reports
Safety Related Pre-Operational and Startup Test Changes
• Other test procedures/reports/issues proposed by TRB Chairman and TRB members.
• Review construction /startup procedures to ensure compliance with engineering specifications
• Reconcile design variations
• Perform minor scope modifications to meet field requests
• Investigate and resolve fit-up or sequencing problems in relation to the approved design.
• Provide on-shore support for the disposition of Nonconformance reports.
• Answer information requests from Construction / Startup groups and Site Installation Team.
• Ensure that systematic controls are in place to ensure the design and construction activities are performed using the latest applicable design documentation
• Ensure proper and frequent communications between all parties in regards to engineering related issues

Minimum Requirements:

A successful candidate for this position will be familiar with and/or have experience with the following:

• Bachelor Degree in Engineering or technical discipline.
• Minimum 8 years’ experience (typically 10 years) in NSSS system design, nuclear service operations, or operating plant experience.
• This is a highly interactive job, requiring excellent communication skills both written and oral with little guidance, including a broad range of technical knowledge related to civil, structural and mechanical construction as well as integrated system operations and testing.

This position will be an expatriate assignment. Training also may be conducted in China. This position will require living outside of the United States and will require your consent to, and successful completion of, a post-offer/pre-assignment medical assessment and/or evaluation prior to departure.

This assignment is subject to you and your accompanying spouse/family members meeting all of the host country immigration authorities, and consenting to and successfully completing a medical assessment and/or examination. The company shall provide, process, and pay reasonable and customary fees related to documentation required to secure visas, residential, and work permits, prior to the start of your assignment. The company suggests that international assignees register with the nearest home country embassy or consulate upon arrival in the host country.
