If this sounds like an environment you would thrive in, we have an exciting opportunity for a Die Shop Supervisor at our Blairsville Specialty Metal Plant.

In this position, the Die Shop Supervisor is responsible for supervising and coordinating activities of employees engaged in production machining of metallic or nonmetallic work pieces, applying knowledge of machine shop procedures, machine tool setup, operating techniques, and production machining methods. The position serves as a focal point for all machining operations within the plant and requires coordination of work with other department supervisors, engineering and management to ensure timely delivery of quality parts. This position reports directly to the site Maintenance Manager.

Your Day-to-Day:
• Manage organization, safety and maintenance of the machine shop.
• Reduce set up time and machining time through process improvements.
• Establish working relationships with union leadership to insure a cooperative environment.
• Coordinate and manage on-site contractors for craft training, repair of equipment.

Minimum Requirements:

Who You Are:
As a successful candidate, you will bring the following to the team:
  • High school diploma or recognized equivalent plus
  • 5+ years directly related experience supervising in a Machining manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum 5 years experience with operation of 3 and 4 axis CNC Machines, tool set-up, editing and inspection in a production environment
  • Minimum 2-3 years experience managing schedules, workflow, safety, personnel and equipment
  • Experience with software applications such as Master Cam
  • Experience with planning, scheduling, estimating, requisitioning and reporting
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Able to read blueprints and technical drawings
  • Work well independently and within a team and has the ability to coordinate efforts with fellow co-workers
  • Considerable knowledge of the tools, equipment, materials, methods, and standard practices of the trade
  • Needs a strong appreciation of the importance of completing tasks on time
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Must be adaptable to a changing work environment and competing demands
