We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Transport Specialist on our Logistics Operations team at our Columbia, SC site. The Transport Specialist can expect to be responsible for the following:
  • Support Transport Operations at the Columbia site to establish transportation policies and procedures and effectively execute the functions and activities of the department.
  • Plan, organize and control shipments of radioactive and non-radioactive, nuclear related products to and from various licensed consignees, including customer reactor sites and other Westinghouse locations.

Minimum Requirements:
The successful candidate for this position will possess the following:
  • Bachelors Degree
  • 5+ years experience in a regulated global transportation and logistics function or in an Environmental, Health and Safety role supporting radioactive materials shipments.
Duties may include physical activities such as climbing ladders/gangways, navigating narrow passageways, stooping, crouching, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting and grasping. These activities may take place inside or outside and may be subject to environmental conditions. Duties include a variety of physical conditions, such as noise and proximity to moving vehicles.
