This position will report to the local Waste management team lead, will develop technical descriptions and specifications for solid radioactive waste treatment (treatment of dry active waste, evaporator concentrates, spent filters and spend resins). He / she will defend the Westinghouse technology in front of the customer. Furthermore this position will support suppliers to understand Westinghouse technology related to waste management and to nuclearize the related design. A further focus will be the review of supplier documentation and to clarify and implement interfaces with other suppliers. Supervision of installation and commissioning of the related equipment will complete the related responsibilities.
This position will have the following responsibilities:
•Developing of P&IDs for waste management system, including equipment list, valve list, piping list, measurement list electrical consumer list
•Perform pressure drop calculations to define piping dimensions
•Perform thermal balance calculation to define the design data for heat exchangers
•Define equipment data based on Westinghouse technology and customer requirements and develop the equipment data sheet
•Develop the technical description during proposal elaboration for waste management solutions based on Westinghouse technology and customer requirements
•Develop technical specifications for waste management solutions based on Westinghouse technology and customer requirements
•Support potential suppliers to understand the Westinghouse solution and to nuclearize the related equipment during the proposal phase
•Support the selected supplier during project execution, e.g. clarification of interfaces with other equipment or plant systems.
•Review the supplier design and documentation (drawings, material lists, QAPs, calculation book, equipment operation and maintenance manual (EOMM), thermo-hydraulical calculations etc.)
•Ensure with supplier the flawless and timely execution of equipment design and manufacturing in cooperation with supply chain and quality assurance departments
•Witness the factory acceptance testing of the equipment
•Perform Open package inspections at the customer’s site
•Supervise installation and commission of the equipment at the customer’s site


Minimum Requirements:

Education Level:Engineering Bachelor degree and above in chemical engineering, process engineering or equivalent.
Years of Experience:5 to 10 years in process engineering
Skills and Competencies:
1.Experience in solid radioactive waste management systems and solutions preferable
2.Experience in system design and definition of basic equipment data for pipes, valves, pumps, compressors, ventilators, measurements, heat exchangers, special equipment etc.
3.Excellent communication skills, in Mandarin and English
4.Ability to work with cross-function team with good influencing skills
5.Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
6.Experience interfacing with customers, suppliers and internal technical groups.
7.Understanding of Chinese norms and standards as well as basic understanding of ANSI and ASME code
8.Knowledge of quality assurance standards associated with design, fabrication and construction including ANSI, ASME codes.
9.Knowledge of and experience waste management systems in Nuclear Power Plants
10.Ability to travel
